As we continue our series “When Time Matters: Is Hospice the Next Step?”, we aim to help families, caregivers, and providers recognize when additional support may be needed.

This week, we are focusing on the moments when you (the caregiver or family member) start wondering if it’s time for hospice, and how having a conversation can provide guidance and reassurance.

Sometimes the first sign is simply the question, “Is it time?” A hospice conversation doesn’t mean a decision...it just provides information, guidance, and support for patients and families during this stage.

Today, we honor caregivers, the quiet heroes who show up every day with compassion, patience, and unwavering love.

Whether you live with your loved one, check in on them throughout the week, or provide care from near or far, your work matters deeply. Caregiving is not always easy, but it is profoundly meaningful. It is presence, advocacy, comfort, and strength all wrapped into one.

At Hospice Care Plus, we are privileged to walk alongside caregivers and witness the extraordinary care you provide. Thank you for the countless moments, big and small, that make a difference in the lives of those you love.

Today, and every day, we see you. We thank you. And we honor you.

Our services aren't possible without the support of our volunteers and donors! To learn how you can partner with us as a volunteer or financial supporter, please visit https://hospicecareplus.org/ways-to-give/

As we continue our series “When Time Matters: Is Hospice the Next Step?”, we aim to help families, caregivers, and providers recognize when additional support may be needed.

This week, we are focusing on times when caregiving is becoming overwhelming, and how hospice can support both the patient and their family.

Caregiving is an act of love, but it can also be exhausting. Hospice provides guidance, respite, and emotional support so families and caregivers don’t have to face these challenges alone. We also provide support through volunteer presence in the home, and at our in-patient center. Our volunteers support caregivers by providing patient companionship while the caregiver runs errands, attends appointments, or even just needs some rest!

To learn more about our services, how to become a volunteer, or how to refer a loved one, please give us a call at 859-986-1500 or visit www.hospicecareplus.org

As we continue our series “When Time Matters: Is Hospice the Next Step?”, we aim to help families, caregivers, and providers recognize when additional support may be needed.

This week, we are focusing on times when difficult days are becoming more common than good ones, and how hospice can provide comfort, guidance, and support.

If difficult days are becoming more frequent, it may be a sign that additional care is needed. Hospice focuses on comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients while offering support to families and caregivers.

To learn more about our services, or to refer a loved one, please give us a call at 859-986-1500 or visit www.hospicecareplus.org

Hopeful, Expert, Compassionate Care

We take pride in hopeful, compassionate, expert care that recognizes that life continues even when there is no cure. We work with you, your caregiver, your family, and your doctors to control symptoms at home so you can focus on what matters: what you want life to look like for the next several months. What do you want to do and experience? Where do you want to be? What are you fighting for, working towards, planning for, and how can we help you get there?

Whether you’re part of our hospice or palliative programs, and regardless of whether your care is in your home or at our Compassionate Care Center, our goal is simple: to help you achieve the highest quality of life and to support your caregiver and family. We emphasize dignity, hope, and compassion as we provide specialized medical and team care to manage pain, symptoms, and other challenges.

We work alongside patients and families to make every moment matter. Read more about us at www.hospicecareplus.org, or savor inspiring stories of our patients, families, and staff as they pursue bucket-list wishes together--truly making every moment matter-- at www.hcpblogs.com. Then, contact us: learn about our programs, become a volunteer, apply for employment, give your financial support, or interact with us on Facebook.

We are a non-profit hospice serving Madison, Estill, Jackson, Lee, Owsley and Rockcastle counties. We offer both hospice and palliative care as well as a bereavement program. We also own and operate the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, a short-term inpatient hospice facility for symptom management and respite care.
