Medications like semaglutide and tirzepatide (often used for type 2 diabetes and weight loss) are growing in popularity—but researchers are keeping a close eye on their safety.
A new study looked at more than 159,000 people and found a possible link between these medications and a rare eye condition called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), which affects vision.
