Has it really been one year since we opened the doors of East Cary Health Center to welcome dental patients?!

Over the past year, we have welcomed 1,450 unique patients for 3,858 dental visits and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our staff, the community and our funding partners. Of the hundreds of donors to our capital campaign, the Butler Snow LLP Foundation and Virginia Health Care Foundation specifically supported equipment and supplies to outfit the eight new dental operatories. Their support, and yours, is increasing access to care for the Greater Richmond region and we are incredibly grateful.

Due to the continued impact of the winter storm, Daily Planet Health Services’ locations will be operating in a virtual capacity only on Tuesday, January 27. Patients with scheduled appointments will be notified accordingly. West Grace Pharmacy will be closed.

As 2025 comes to a close, we are taking a moment to reflect on what has been a tumultuous year to say the least. There have been so many highs and lows, from serving 9,517 patients (and counting!), an increase of over 1,200 patients from 2024, to losing millions of dollars in program funding.

Through it all our Board of Directors, staff and community partners have stood by us, and with us, and we are immensely grateful.

As we look ahead to our 57th year, we will need your support more than ever. In return, we will continue to provide comprehensive healthcare and supportive services to our neighbors in the Greater Richmond region. Together we will build a stronger and healthier community.

Here’s to connecting even more dots in 2026!

Everyday patients arrive for their appointments in various states – from healthy and ready to engage with their providers to extreme medical or mental distress. DPHS team members are there for it all, meeting each patient where they are with a goal of helping them in any and every way possible.
