Good morning Community,
Did you know that more than 98 million adults in the U.S.have prediabete?
Now, I hope you would agree that is a shocking number. Equally shocking and disturbing is that 8 in 10 people don't even know that they have it.

If you have been following me, you know that my business Assured Wellness is a CDC-Recognized Diabetes Prevention Provider.

My team and I have been presenting informational sessions known as Diabetes Prevention Discovery Sessions about prediabetes awareness, and diabetes prevention throughout the south suburbs for the past several months.

Thursday, March 19th, I will be presenting another informational Discovery Session at the DBC Offices: in 4137 Sauk Trail, Richton Park, IL 60471

Hello everyone,
As you may know, February is Heart Health Awareness Month. What you may not know is that having prediabetes or high sugar levels can increase your risk for heart disease, heart attack, and stroke.

Do you know if you are at risk for prediabetes? If not, follow the next 3 steps:

Step 1: Take the Prediabetes Risk Test in the privacy & comfort of your home and get your score (If you score a 5 or higher, you could be at risk for prediabetes.)

Step 2: If you receive a score 5 or higher, contact your doctor, tell your doctor about your score, and ask them to order you a fasting blood glucose test. This is the only way you will know for sure.

Step 3: If you are diagnosed with prediabetes, and want to reverse you diagnosis and reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes, please contact Assured Wellness-A Diabetes Prevention Program Provider-and we will support you on your journey to reverse
your prediabetes diagnosis and prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.

Good evening everyone,
As this day comes to an end, let us continue to honor Dr. King for the immeasurable contributions he made to this country. Find some small way you can honor him in your everyday life-with the people you engage with-on a daily basis.

It is his shoulders and others who came before us that we stand on. We owe a debt to them to keep moving forward.

Good morning,
I’ve got a GREAT mindset exercise below that’ll help you:

1. Set amazing new goals for 2026, and even more importantly,
2. Give you the power to reach them.

FACT: almost all of us have had New Year’s resolutions at one point or another ... that we gave up on just a few short weeks later.

Want to know one of the main things that separate those who quit and those who don’t?

It’s engaging in regular REFLECTION along the way.

And a lot of people do it the wrong way.

True reflection is a PROCESS that helps you recognize what’s working … and what isn’t … by asking yourself specific questions.

Questions that can help take your life to the next level.

● Reflection is NOT beating yourself up for what didn’t work.
● Reflection IS taking time to think about the reasons why certain habits or actions work for you and why others are a struggle.

It’s stepping back to look at the big picture to see what is really required to set yourself up for success.

Here are 5 reflection questions to ask yourself over the next few days as we head toward 2026.

1. How have you contributed to your happiness and health in 2025?
2. Where do you want to be a year from now? What is MOST important to you in 2026? (Top 3) Be specific.

For each of your top three things, answer:

3. What specific things do you already do in your life that is moving you closer to what’s most important to you? Do you want to continue doing them in 2026? Take them to the next level?
4. What specific things do you currently do that stalls your progress or holds you back? Why do you believe you take these actions?
5. What are 1-2 simple steps you can start taking NOW to make your vision a reality?

I hope these reflection questions can put you on the path to a better version of yourself in 2026.
