COVID-19 UPDATE
Following the recent announcement of closure of all non-essential businesses in Washington State for at least the next 14 days, we are making the following changes to our practice to reduce community exposure, and limit our usage of personal protective equipment (PPE):
1. No wellness appointments will be scheduled. We will continue to schedule appointments for any pets with an urgent health complaint or to continue care for previously evaluated problems. We will continue vaccine booster appointments for puppies and kittens as the timing of these vaccines is not very flexible. Annual vaccines for adult animals can be safely deferred until our normal schedule resumes.
2. No elective procedures will be scheduled (spays, neuters, most dentals). We will continue to perform urgent procedures, including abscesses, lacerations, and emergency dental extractions.
3. We can continue to provide medication refills, and will make every effort to adjust recheck bloodwork recommendations if medically reasonable.
These adjustments will be in effect for at least the next 14 days, or longer as ordered by Governor Inslee. We will continue with increased disinfection frequency and other protective measures at the hospital as previously outlined.
