Here are some common questions from our patients regarding miraDry! Feel free to add questions in the comment box and we will do our best to answer your questions!
Will I overcompensate sweating in another area of my body after the miraDry?
No. Only 2% of your sweat glands are located in the underarms. This is not enough for your body to overcompensate in another area.
How many treatments will I need?
2 treatments are recommended. For some patients, one can satisfy their concerns while others require two treatments. Results vary on many factors and each patient is different. This is why the first treatment is $1900 and the second, if needed, is $1000
Is miraDry covered by insurance?
At this time, insurance does not deem it medically necessary for the treatment of hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating). We do accept care credit as a form of payment. Visit www.carecredit.com to see if you qualify!

The first deodorants came on the market 100 years ago
In the early 1900s, people did not use these products because many people thought “anti-sweat” toiletries were unhealthy and/or unnecessary
The first companies that launched these products almost failed because consumers did not know that they had a problem.
They shifted their marketing strategies that eventually changed the mindset of the public regarding deodorant/antiperspirants which resulted in widespread adoption.
