Today, three of our counselors attended Reformed Theological Seminary’s Conference on Christian Counseling. Our very own, Will McNeese, was a part of the Internal Family Systems panel and contributed his thoughts and opinions on IFS and the intersections of spirituality and Christ. Will is an IFS Level II certified therapist with many years of experience under his belt. Our P-LPCs, Kaiti Stewart and Reid Patterson, were happy to attend and learn from the panel on Internal Family Systems with an emphasis on the intersections of spirituality and Christ, Dr. Katie Majeste’s session on Trauma Informed Approaches to ADHD, and Dr. Mike Hillerman’s session on Empathetic Conjecture and Deepening Emotional Connection Through Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. Not every conflict means it’s time to walk away, but not every relationship can (or should) be saved either.
