Today a client walked into the new space and said - this space feels like it’s our way as women to finally say WE TAKE UP SPACE. WE ARE HERE!

Ah yes, my mantra of the last few years that has guided me:
“Midwifery is no longer done in the shadows”

But the greatness of these inner wisdoms are that they also teach me the quiet whisper of “Mhmm. Yes Jaime. AND”

In the normal humor of this work, this mantra was also met with the profound Knowing that so much of what I’ve been witnessing lately is also the secret of the Sacred. It’s ours and no one else’s. We don’t need to use our birth stories to prove something. We don’t need to explain our choices. Despite the common misconception, I’m actually not here to sell you on something.

In the same breath I scream from the rooftops that we are HERE, I then breathe relief that we collectively experienced something truly Divine, and it’s no. ones. business.

The juxtaposition of Midwifery. How wise she is.

I reminded my student immediately that these are the same conversations and wisdoms and revelations that used to get Midwives killed. Burned. Drowned. Chastised away from their community.

Those 3am whispers of “How is she doing?”. Those 10pm reminders of “Yes. You are doing it. Stay with me.” The taste of that tincture. The floors that hold the tears of new parents who just watched God enter their bedroom.

I am a mere Observer.
In the chaos of the world, there is, and will always be, Birth.

Repeat clients are the medicine of midwifery. Prenatals are filled with more laughter than midwifery sometimes. The birth feels like a deep collective breath of “Ah we are all here together”. I sometimes call it the “Soulmates of Midwifery”. We were always meant to be in that space together.
The room is filled with the deepest Trust. Postpartum is filled with giggles and “Yes that happened last time too”.
To watch a family change and grow into their confidence and wisdom is something I never knew would be the exact things I need to just make my cup of life OVERFLOW! ✨
I say it endlessly but those who know, know that these are the moments you go, “Gosh. How did I, of all people, get the privilege to do this????”

So grateful is always one of my biggest promoters and selflessly shares her pictures and stories. ♥️

Grateful she also captured the Grace and gentleness of newborn exams. 🥰

And my goodness is that last picture not just the purest definition of motherhood?! 😂😍🫶🏻

Celebrating these 2 home birth babies and their momma! I actually didn’t even “catch” either of them! Mom caught her son and then dad caught his daughter.

6 week postpartum appointments are so bittersweet. Like is this really it?!
But in midwifery, it’s truly never goodbye! Auntie Midwife has to watch you continue to grow! 😍
What a glorious few years it has been serving this family! 🫶🏻🙌🏼😍

My due dates for March 2026 are full! April and May babies are coming in as well so make sure to call early as usual :)
Common misconceptions why people wait to call me are because they think they have to start out with an OB to get their initial labs and ultrasounds. Or they wait until after their anatomy scan. Or wait until after their gestational diabetes test. No no! Midwives do all of these things and take care of you with all of the standard obstetric care and offerings PLUS more time, more love, more continuity. From the first pregnancy test.

✨New Office✨
Did we all collectively agree we needed more room for group gatherings, kids to roam, more collaboration, a blank canvas to play in?? Or was that just something I’ve been sitting with quietly? 😂
Y’all! This new space holds so much possibility! I’m excited to get our hands dirty and make a true grassroots community space that I think Montrose and our little communities deserve.
I’ve wanted room for families to gather and meet and have kids run and play. Room for expansion and more practitioners. Something we can come together and say is Ours.

We have 3 exam rooms - one for us, one with the healer and one with the gorgeous, self-love

I know I have a community of wildly creative people and we’d love your help! This place was not taken care of to its full potential. We are working to clean, paint, and bring the comfort into the space.
If anyone has the time or call, please reach out! We are needing to paint, clean windows, redo a few hardware related things, do some updates, and furnish! We are also looking for a baby changing table, furniture to create a waiting room, couches, chairs, toys to make a kids play section, tables, plants, rugs, etc - if you have something you’d like to donate, let me know! If you have the time to donate to help us spruce this 100 year old building up, please, I would feel forever grateful!
