LT Mission: to initiate, develop, and maintain a space for constructive interaction between parents and their School Districts and Charter Schools for students with IEPs (Individualized Education Program)/Special Education.
Pennsylvania supports The Right to Education Local Task Forces across the state to unite families, schools, and education leaders to champion inclusive excellence for students with disabilities in their regions.

This position gives you the opportunity to review, analyze, evaluate, monitor, and coordinate the Home and Community Based Services offered through the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to contract providers and agency staff regarding program planning, development, and implementation.

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is inviting individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism and their families to join in a virtual exploration and discussion with members of the Division of Policy and Program Innovation. These sessions are informal, meaning the conversation will not be recorded, and rules will be set before the session starts to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe to provide questions and comments. The session will be held through Microsoft Teams. Please note: This event is being held only for individuals and family members; this is not an event for someone who is only a professional.

What Will Be Covered?

Family members often want to stay as involved as possible with the services their relative receives. This session will consist of an overview of services that family members can provide through ODP's 1915(c) waivers, as well as who is considered family and other important definitions. The session will also include time to explore where this information can be found.

This position gives you the opportunity to evaluate, monitor, and coordinate the support of MH individuals who are either homeless or at risk to become homeless. You will work collaboratively with Social Service Agencies, Intermediate Units, School Systems, the CASSP System, adolescents and their families to gain referrals and assist in coordination of services. The caseworker in this position will ensure that the services will be consistent with the philosophy of the Recovery Model of community based mental health care.
