It was a very Merry Christmas special day! We called our raffle winners for 40 ticket prizes🎄We had a great turn out of people cheering on all of our winners! It was such a fun event!
Once again we are so thankful to the many local businesses that contributed to our raffle and in helping our Local Advisory Board raise money for some special wishes for our residents!
We thank all on the list that donated and would like to also add Rifle Alpine Bank’s-generous donation of $1,000.00 that arrived a little late♥️

The Veterans Community Living Center at Rilfe, is the best kept secret on the Western Slope. We are an 89 bed Facility, a 24/7 Skilled Nursing Facility dedicated to United States Military Veterans and their loved ones. We provide both Short Tem rehabilitation, providing Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. We also provide Long Term Care needs for our Veterans, Veteran Spouses, and Gold Star families. We have an 18 bed Secured Dementia/Memory Care unit with an attached walk out beautiful park area/gazebo for our Veterans and families to enjoy. Our facility is located atop the town of Rifle, with beautiful landscaping for enjoyment, and exercise.
The Rifle Center is managed and operated by the State of Colorado.
Dr. Douglas Shenk, MD has worked throughout the Western Slope and well known for his compassionate style of treating his patients. His reputation has made a strong statement to those in the healthcare community and shares his passion for our Veterans. Dr. Shenk is a full-time physician officed in our facility. He is well respected and adored for his community commitment and his service on the Western Slope.
If you are 70%-100% Service Connected disabled, your long term care needs will be paid for through Veterans Administration benefits, we also accept Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay, for those in need of payment assistance.
