We would like to take a moment—though a bit belatedly—to recognize a truly remarkable milestone. Last month marked Dr. Dwalia South’s 30th anniversary with North Mississippi Primary Health Care, Inc.

When Dr. South joined North Benton County Health Care, Inc., in 1995, our organization looked quite different. At that time, we were a still fledgling organization in the early stages of expanding access to care across North Mississippi. Electronic records were unheard of and work relied on paper charts, rotary phones and the dedication of a small but determined team who believed deeply in our mission. Over the years, Dr. South has witnessed not just a change in our name but a transformation into a comprehensive Health Center, serving patients across multiple sites with advanced systems and coordinated care.

For three decades, Dr. South has been a constant source of compassion, professionalism, and leadership at NMPHC. Her steadfast commitment to patient care, mentoring, and community service helped lay the very foundation of who we are as an organization today.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Dwalia South, the Dean of the Tippah County Medical Community, on this extraordinary 30-year milestone and in expressing our deep gratitude for her continued service to the patients and communities we serve.
