Steven James Fairbank, lovingly known to many as Steve or “Mooch,” was born on December 25, 1963, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and dear friends.

Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and a true jack of all trades whose presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He was a man who could fix just about anything and loved to tinker with everything from small motors to engines in cars and trucks. Whether working on one of his many old vehicles, spending time with his beloved garden tractors, or creating woodworking projects with antique tools, Steve found joy in building, fixing, and improving. His home, yard, and garage were always filled with projects in progress, a true reflection of his curious mind and hands-on spirit.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lorraine Fairbank, with whom he built a life centered on family, resilience, and care for others. He was a proud father to Ricky (Angela) Fairbank, Randy (Kea) Fairbank, and Karl (Rachael) Peschke, whom he loved as his own. Steve found immense joy in being a grandfather to Jaxon, Kinzley, Jensen, Aubrey, James, and Isla, all of whom will miss him deeply. His home was also filled with the companionship of beloved family pets, Maverick, Harley, and Stella.

He is also survived by his brothers, Jerry (Penny) Fairbank and Jeff (Grace) Fairbank; his special “adopted” mom, Fern Zamzow; and many extended family members, including Kathy (Robert) Peschke and family, Cindy (Todd) Boelter and family, Larry Zamzow and family, along with many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Steve cherished his close friendships, including Larry and Nancy James and family, Bobby Kinyon, Dave McCoy, and Gary “Woody” Wood. These friendships were a testament to his loyalty and the genuine connections he built throughout his life.

He was proud to serve his community as a Rosendale volunteer firefighter for 35 years, a role that reflected his willingness to step up and help others in times of need. He was the kind of neighbor and friend who would always lend a helping hand, even if he joked or grumbled along the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jim” and Anita (Kutzke) Fairbank, and his sister, Janice Loker.

Above all, Steve will be remembered as a caring husband, proud father, loving grandfather, loyal friend, and a man who showed up for the people around him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved deeply, by blood and by bond, and in the many lives he touched.

Richard A. Albright

It is with deep sorrow and profound gratitude that we remember a remarkable life—one that touched hearts and left an enduring mark on all who had the privilege to know him.

Richard “Dick” Arthur Albright, 81, of Omro, Wisconsin, finished his earthly race and entered the arms of Jesus on March 26, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Dick passed away at home surrounded by his loving family.

Dick was born on October 10, 1944, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Arthur and Geneva Albright. After graduating from Omro High School, he married the love of his life, Donna Bradley, on June 8, 1963, and enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Together, Dick and Donna built a beautiful life. Dick was a country boy at heart and loved farm life. As a young man, he enjoyed riding horses, showing cattle, and helping his father haul cattle. As he grew older, he hauled milk, farmed, and hauled livestock. At 81 years of age, Dick finally retired from hauling cattle in January of this year.

He was an active member of Countryside Christian Church, acting as a deacon in recent years and a head usher. For 20 years, Dick and Donna hosted a missions auction at their farm where all proceeds were distributed to Countryside Christian Church supported missionaries. He thoroughly enjoyed preparing for this event and auctioneering the day of the auction with his good friend, Todd Goheen, who preceded him in death. In Dick’s spare time, he attended sporting events and concerts for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a card shark and would never turn down an opportunity to gather with family or friends for a good card game. Dick was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He exemplified hard work and dedication, enjoyed helping others, and provided unwavering support to his family. Whether it was through his work, his passions, or the relationships he nurtured, he planted seeds that will continue to grow for generations. The lessons he shared, the values he upheld, and the love he gave so freely will live on in the lives he changed.

Dick is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Dawn (Chip) Kintopf, Wendy (Rich) Borgardt, Mark (Karl) Albright; grandchildren, Preston (Abby) Goetz, Breana (Tyler) Egan, Marissa Kintopf, Luke (Nicole) Borgardt; great-grandchildren, Liam Goetz, Brantley Hildebrandt, Colson Borgardt, Charlie Goetz, Micah Egan, and Finley Goetz; siblings, Fred (Bertie) Albright, John (Linda) Albright, Jean (Wally) Jeszke, Jane (Dave) Bauer, Ronnie (Joan) Albright, Steve (Joe) Albright; brothers-in-law, Jim (Dottie) Butkiewicz, Dennis (Cathy) Bradley; sisters-in-law, Debbie Albright, Nancy Bradley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Arthur and Geneva Albright; sisters, Joan (Marvin) Stiller, Judy Butkiewicz, Jody Albright; brother, Ricky Albright; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Marie Bradley; brothers-in-law, Marvin (Betty) Bradley, Dale (Marge) Bradley, Burton Bradley; sisters-in-law, Dolores (Henry) Hedtke, as well as other family members.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Countryside Christian Church, located at 1483 Burr Oak Road, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. A Christian funeral service will be held following the visitation at 12:00 pm. A private family burial will follow at Tice Cemetery.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Compassus Hospice, as well as family and friends, for the love, support, and care received.

Though Dick is no longer with us in body, his spirit remains woven into the fabric of our lives. In every act of kindness we extend, in every moment of courage we summon, and in every memory we cherish, his legacy endures.

He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always honored.

Marvin J. Lee

Marvin James Lee passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 12, 2026.

Marvin was born on February 23, 1948 in Oshkosh, WI to Clarence Lee and Helen (Kratz) Lee. Marvin was raised on the family farm west of Berlin. Marvin attended Redgranite and Berlin schools, graduating in 1966, and went on to UW-Oshkosh. He enlisted in the Navy in 1967, serving for four years during the Vietnam era. He was a plank owner of the USS Frederick, LST-1184, serving as a Diesel Mechanic (Motor Mac) in that ship’s engine rooms.

After school and his Navy tour, Marvin met and married Marjorie Emily Schabel. They were married on July 27, 1974 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairburn, living briefly in Fond Du Lac and moving to Pickett in 1975. In 1977, they welcomed twins Jason and Jennifer into their loving home.

Marvin worked initially as a Diesel Mechanic, and then spent his career at the United States Postal Service, in Oshkosh. Upon retirement, he spent his time repairing cars, small engines, and power equipment, which was what he enjoyed doing the most.

Marvin was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett, serving in many ways including church council, and he had just entered his 40th year of teaching middle school youth in Sunday School.

Marvin’s hobbies included working on engines and power equipment, and it was common to find him in his shop, fixing, rebuilding, or building cars, lawnmowers, go-karts, or anything with an engine. He also enjoyed music, being a self-taught accordion player. Marvin had a great sense of humor – those who knew him will remember him as witty, funny, entertaining, and generous. Much of the work he did for those in the community was donated.

Marvin had 10 grandchildren, and he loved every one of them; one of his favorite things to do when not working in the shop was to visit his grandchildren and spend time with them joking, laughing, and discussing the events of the day.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife Marge on February 21, 1993, and by his father Clarence and mother Helen.

Survivors include his son, Jason (Kara) Lee; daughter, Jenny (Todd) Schmitz; grandchildren, Derek, Carson, Anika, Alex, and Karina Lee, and Jadon, Jayna, Seth, Eli, and Jesse Schmitz; siblings, Cheryl (Edward) Buchanan, Clarence (Mary) Lee, and Joanne (Bill) Jakubek.

Visitation for Marvin will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 508 Co Rd M, Pickett, WI 54964.

Memorial service for Marvin will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett, with Rev. Jud Krohn officiating. You may view a livestream of the service at 11:00 am by visiting this link LIVESTREAM. A luncheon will take place immediately following the service at the church. A memorial will be established in his name for Grace Lutheran Church Sunday school.

His family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to SSM Hospice in Green Lake, and especially to nurse Rachel and home health aid Tiffany, who provided excellent and compassionate care in Marvin’s final weeks on this earth.

2 Timothy 4:7: ‘I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.'
