This week is AYA (Adolescent & Young Adult) Cancer Awareness Week, which is something very close to my heart.
Young adults facing cancer are often balancing treatment with school, work, relationships, and figuring out who they are⦠all at the same time. It can feel incredibly isolating, especially when life doesnāt āpauseā in the ways people might expect.
As a survivor turned yoga instructor, Iāve experienced how important it is to have support, understanding, and spaces that allow the nervous system to slow down and feel safe.
Wellness isnāt just about taking care of ourselves - itās also about being aware of what others around us may be carrying, even when we canāt see it.
If you know a young adult impacted by cancer, small things matter like listening, offering flexibility, sharing resources, or simply reminding them they are not alone.
Awareness creates compassion, and compassion creates support š¤
