It’s normal for patients to be nervous on the day of the procedure, especially if they don’t know what to expect.
We do upper lids procedures in my office practically every day, so the gist is like this:
- you’ll come in the morning and leave by lunch time.
- your ride doesn’t have to wait here for you all day, but if they want to use our conference room to get work done, they can.
- the relaxing pill makes it so that you don’t feel anxious or nervous, but you are in control of your body. So you can ask questions, open and close your eyes, walk around, etc.
- for the numbing, you feel a pinch and some burning. After that - you won’t feel anything sharp during the procedure.
- Most people fall asleep, but the lucky ones who stay awake will be serenaded by my sultry voice
- Afterwards, we keep you here to make sure you’re comfortable before you leave and answer all your questions.
- I like to call all my patients that night to make sure they don’t have any questions and that they are feeling good!
- You’ll have my cell phone - so feel free to call or text me anytime :)
I actually take great pride in making this an easy and enjoyable experience for our patients. So feel free to reach out if you’re worried about anything and we’ll be happy to help!
* There are strict rules about saying ‘no pain’ - so we can’t say that :(
Here’s what to expect before your Eyelids Surgery:
A relaxing pre-op med, almost no pain, and most patients even fall asleep during the procedure. We guide you step by step, so you feel comfortable, safe, and in control.
Recovery is easy, and I’m always just a call or text away.
