Let’s admit it: sometimes this is how you feel about exercise before and after surgery. It’s okay to feel this way from time to time, but just know that even just getting up and out of the house to go for a 5 minute walk will make you feel so much better physically AND mentally. 💪🏽🧠

In the first several weeks after surgery, we recommend walking every 1-2 hours for 5-10 minutes to reduce your risk of blood clots. Some days you will be happy to do this; some days you will feel just like this eagle, but remember how you will feel after you do it and let that motivate you to get it done!

Eventually, making habits of small daily tasks like this will become second-nature to you and your mind and body will thank you later. 😏
