Heather Vassar was one of those people. She brought warmth, kindness, and a quiet strength to the people around her. Whether through her love of music, her work, or the relationships she built, she had a way of connecting with others that felt genuine and lasting.

At East End Disability Associates, Heather’s compassion and commitment to others were evident in everything she did. She didn’t just reflect our values, she lived them in a way that made people feel supported, understood, and cared for.

Voices raised in Brentwood today for something simple and essential: fair funding for the people who support people with disabilities every day.

EEDA’s own Byron Preston, Manager of the Creative Arts Club, delivered a powerful speech at the podium, reminding everyone why this fight matters so much to the individuals we serve, their families, and the incredible Direct Support Professionals who make inclusion possible.

The crowd echoed one message again and again:
“Invest in me! Invest in us!”

Spread the word! Please let your friends and family know about the Adult Social Program hiring event and ask candidates to mention that you referred them.
