Today was our “soft launch” opening of our new location, and we want to take a moment to acknowledge the resilience of our staff, the incredible support of our community, and reflect on what makes Johnson’s what it is today.

While we are optimistic about this next chapter, the loss of our home office has been devastating for many, especially owners, Bill and Lesli Kearney. They started this business in 1983 at just 29 years old, and through years of hard work, sacrifice, meaningful relationships, and an unwavering commitment to both patients and employees, they built something truly special.

To see all those years of work reduced to ashes has shaken them, and many of us, to our core. While we remain hopeful that we will rebuild stronger than ever, there are things that can never be replaced: photo albums of longtime patients, videos documenting their progress as they grew through the years, memorabilia from employees who became family and have since passed, recordings of Bill’s many lectures at Loma Linda, and countless pieces of history from our journey as a family business that grew from just a few employees to a team of 35. So much history was lost overnight, and we continue to discover things we didn’t even realize were gone until now.

With that said, the love and support we have received has truly filled our hearts. We could not have gotten through this without our team, who have shown remarkable strength and resilience, working tirelessly at the site to recover what they could while simultaneously rebuilding our new location, all while keeping operations running at our other offices.

We have also received incredible support from friends throughout the O&P community, who stepped in to help us secure new machinery for our lab and assist with fabrication while we worked to restore our in-house capabilities.

To everyone who has supported us during this time, we are deeply grateful. Thank you.

As we move forward into this new chapter, we do so with a renewed appreciation for the work we do, the team that makes it possible, and the community we are honored to serve!

JOHNSON’S ORTHOPEDIC FIRE UPDATE-
3 weeks ago everything changed for the Johnson’s Family.

We received the keys to our new building this past Monday.
2900 Adam’s Street. Suite B16
Corner of Adams and Lincoln.
9,000 Sq ft (our old building was 6,000).
Great location and easy to find.

The remodel is underway, including our new patient area and our new fabrication Lab.
Our outer offices are still keeping up in the meantime…
We also have 3 Labs that are doing quality Fabrication for us.

Opening day will be announced as soon as possible.

As many of you know, our Riverside office, our main office, was burned down last night around midnight.
We are devastated by this loss.
We started Johnson’s Orthopedic here in 1983.
43 years of memories and hard work lost.
Please pray for our team and patients as we figure out these next steps.

We will be seeing patients in our Pomona and Hesperia locations, and are working to secure a temporary location in Riverside.
We will keep everyone updated as we can.

Johnson’s Christmas Party 2025 🎉

We really do have the best team of people here. We’re not perfect, we get frustrated sometimes, but at the end of the day, we are a TEAM. We are FAMILY. And we sure know how to have FUN! 🤩

Shout out to one of our suppliers, , they happen to come by for a little product update in the middle of our party and couldn’t help but join in the fun and even helped with our company photo😆👏🏼

We are obsessed with what we do.
We love all of our patients.
We are blessed to be able to serve this community for 43 years now.

A birthday celebration and new AK “stubbies” for our dear patient, Anthony.
We were able to finish fabrication on his legs a week early just in time for his birthday! His son asked Caroline, who’s not only a phenomenal prosthetist but a skilled baker, to bake him a cake for his birthday. So she did just that along with surprising him with his completed prosthetics!! This was such a sweet moment.

Anthony’s goals are to be active & independent again- fishing, working on cars, and gardening to name a few.
Since he is a newly AK (above knee) amputee, these prosthetics, called “stubbies”, are designed as a stepping stone to full size prosthetics. These allow him to practice walking and build strength again.

Zaul is looking great with his first Elbow Disarticulation Prosthesis! 🤩
He practiced throwing a frisbee and playing ball before taking it home to ensure fit and function was JUST RIGHT! We’ll see you next week for your follow up, Zaul! 🌟

Damien endured a partial hand amputation just 7 months ago due to a car accident. Last week he received his carbon fiber hand prosthesis from our prosthetists, Caroline and Andy.
As a barber, restoring function of his hand is essential. We can’t wait to see you continue doing what you love, Damien! As always, thank you for trusting us to help you achieve your goals.

Francisco with his first “Below Elbow Prosthesis” 😀
He is very active and excited to try new activities with his prosthetic, especially riding his bike. Mom and Fransisco chose the bicycle attachment to help him achieve his goal!
