After waiting almost 10 years for a new football field for the Eagles and a senior league baseball field, the City of Desert Hot Springs officially kicked off construction on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Hermann Design Group began the design of the project in 2018 and are happy for the community and the kids who will now have a place of their own. The project construction budget is just under $9M and was funded through a combination of Quimby, Parks, General Facilities, and DIP funds along with a CLEAN Grant of $5,000,000. Thanks to District 4 County Supervisor Manny Perez for his support in the process!

Hermann Design Group (HDG) is honored to announce that a new park in Indian Wells will start construction soon! Desert Recreation District and the City of Indian Wells have partnered to transform the vacant lots at Fairway and El Dorado into a new community asset.

HDG led Indian Wells residents through a series of workshops during the design process to establish the final plan for the project. Residents will enjoy a passive park with a small lawn area, walking paths, and desert landscaping that reflects both the modern style envisioned by the original developer of this community and a transitional desert garden.

Fairway Park will feature boulder sculptures for seating created by Roger Hopkins, a well-known rock sculptor. Environmentally sustainable construction and landscaping techniques are part of this and every design prepared by Hermann Design Group (HDG).
