I’m still holding my breath from this night ❤️
A girl from Malaysia who grew up speaking broken English somehow found herself standing on a TEDx stage. A childhood dream I tucked away for years finally stepped into the light. Being chosen as a TEDx Salt Lake City 2025 speaker was an honor that felt bigger than words.
My talk was born from the quiet ache so many of us carry. Climate change is a silent emergency creeping into our nervous systems, echoing fear and exhaustion in ways that remind us a little too much of the pandemic we promised ourselves we never wanted to relive. I spoke about the hidden toll it takes on our mental health and the ways we can begin healing ourselves, each other, and this planet we all call home.
I practiced every single day from August through September. Memorized every word, polished every gesture, fixed every mistake with humility and an open heart. I went in willing to learn everything I didn’t know. Willing to grow. And growth met me right there. My coaches, especially Charlie Warner, carried me through the messy parts, refining everything from my writing to my breath. My family, friends, and my entire Aspire Psychological team held my life and businesses together so I could chase this moment.
And that night… the audience lifted me. Cheered me back into myself when I stumbled. Loved me through my nerves… lifting me in ways I’ll never forget.
Most of all, this was also for my daughter, Maya. I want her to see that even the wildest dreams bend when you show up with commitment and heart. I want her to know that anything is possible if you’re willing to work, grow, and not give up on yourself.
10 minutes on stage. A lifetime of meaning ❤️🌍 Thank you for sharing in this moment with me 🙏🏻
