Help for Health Hospice

Help for Health Hospice Everyone deserves compassion and support in life’s hardest moments.

As Fremont County’s only nonprofit hospice provider, Help for Health puts patients and families first — listening, responding, and providing peace of mind. Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide treatment and support for individuals with a terminal illness. Hospice seeks to ease their pain and symptoms so that their remaining time may be spent with dignity. Hospice typically cares for patients with a life expectancy of six months or less should their illness take its expected course. Help for Health provides support for you and your loved one by surrounding you with a team of professionals dedicated to compassionate end-of-life care. Our comprehensive pain and symptom management services can be provided either in your own home or in our hospice in-patient facility here in Riverton, Wyoming. Our mission is delivering compassionate hospice care by addressing the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of our patients and their families.

Help For Health's annual Power Of The Purse is April 16th. Thank you to all who have graciously donated purses, gift certificates and items to " fill" the purses, which will be live auctioned at the Holiday Inn in Riverton. We are still in need of donations to fill our purses...anything from gift certificates, to jewelry, to cash....is greatly appreciated. Help For Health is Fremont County's only non profit hospice agency. We deliver hospice services in our 5 bed facility or in patients homes. Often times, our patients need services in our hospice home facility and this is where your generosity helps your friends and neighbors, as Medicare does not pay for room and board at our facility. Please contact Help For Health if you wish to donate items or services to "fill" our purses. All proceeds benefit Help For Health. Please call 307 856 1206 or stop by 1240 College View Dr in Riverton for more information.

Our Story

Help for Health is a non-profit hospice organization established in Fremont County. We also provide a multitude of other services to the residents of this community. The Health Van began in 1996. The mission of the Health Van was to transport patients to and from Casper Wyoming to receive radiation treatments for cancer that are not available locally. In recent years it was utilized to transport patients to Lander, Wy. The Health Van is no longer running. Hospice Care was added in 2008 after the residents of Fremont County voted to impose a 1% capital sale to build a residential hospice home. Help for Health is one of two hospices in Fremont County and the only non-profit hospice care provider in the area. We provide outpatient hospice care in patients homes or inpatient care in our residential hospice home. The Home was the brain child of the late Mary Neil. She had a vision of providing a comfortable home like environment to individuals who may otherwise live alone and die alone. After the home was built, Help for Health established a full service, Medicare Certified hospice care program to provide hospice care to patients regardless of where the individual resides. Help for Health also provides specialized hospice care to residents of long-term care facilities. The Tough Enough to Help Cancer Fund came under our control in 2010. The fund's humble beginnings started with a pink pair of chaps and a heartfelt desire to establish a fund that would financially assist Fremont County Residents who have been diagnosed with cancer.

We also host a foot clinic each month at the Riverton and Lander Senior Centers. The foot clinic is held on the 3rd Thursday of every month and is $15, we have an RN and trained CNA’s who complete foot and nail care for diabetics, clients on blood thinners and anyone who could use a little assistance. For appointments please contact your local Senior Center. Lander (307) 332-2746. Riverton (307) 856-6332. Help for Health continues to add programs and services to fill the gaps in the health care needs of our community. It is our mission to "Honor our commitment to serve our community one person at a time". For more information please visit us at http://helpforhealthwy.org
