So wow. I miss a few days of posting. Here are the 28th, 1st, 2nd, and 5th. The treadmill d9es NOT count towards my distance.

I realized that I did not include lazy days. LOL. So in order to make it to 200 miles by the 19 I will have to ride ten miles per day. I am not sure I am ready for that so to make this a realistic goal I may have to add a few days. I will still try but we will see. Maybe 35 or 40 days. I'm not changing anything yet

Challenge Continues:
200 miles in 31 days
Sept 18 to Oct 19, 2021.

Goal: 200
Still need: 137.29

If anyone wants joins, just comment your daily milage on my main post. Either way I am doing it.

I decided today is day one of my personal challenge.

I need to restart my health... completed two surgeries since Nov and I feel that it's time to go as hard as I did prior to that. 😃 There is still swelling but I am so ready.

I challenged myself to ride 200 miles in 31 days. Sept 18 to Oct 19 2021. That includes space for break days if needed.

Goal: 200
Still need: 193.72

We updated my gym. I am training myself to speed walk again. I haven't done it since surgery. So I wanted to add a TV. Its awesome and so loud. I can music or binge watch shows while I walk. I love it. I almost didn't get off yesterday so I am a bit sore today.

This past Monday marked my 6th week of NO weight bearing on my right foot. On that day I took an x ray and had an exam. I was approved to walk ... with the boot and was ordered 4 weeks of physical therapy. I also picked up a cane since using the scooter, crutches, or armless crutch no longer made sense. I confirmed with the doc that I can walk, drive, ride, etc. She said yes. Two days later I went to drill. I drive 250 miles and walked 9756 steps on Thursday without issues. On Friday I walked 6405 steps and Saturday 6687 steps. Today I drove another 250 miles and walked 6700 steps. I had some additional swelling but thats it.

Finally, I just walked with NO boot and NO cane to try it out... it seems my four day of extreme physical therapy helped. I have goals of normal walking by the end of the week. It may be slow but it will be. I will aim at a minimum of 6000 steps a day. I will elevate and care of my foot. I want to ride a bike by Wednesday... that will be with the boot.

Today I post I am a COVID 19 survivor. Monday the 23rd of November, I was admitted and was failing quickly to COVID 19, 1 day temp spike to 103.5 and O2 sats of 90. Confusion and dehydration. 5 days in the hospital with bilateral COVID pneumonia. Remdesivir x 10 doses, 1 COVID Antibody Plasma Treatment, 10 doses of high dose steroids, Anticoagulant therapy, and ZINC daily. A few breathing treatments. Oxygen between 1-4 liters continous for 4 days. I am now walking 800 meters. Today a very slow bike ride of 2 miles(20 minutes) in the neighborhood to stretch the legs and open the lungs. V/s have stablized. Tire easily and take a 1 hour nap daily. And I am a survivor. No comorbidities, healthy 51 year old who worked from home and have done things right. Please be safe and I will continue to update everyone. COVID is no joke!

This week included two days of rehearsals... one day with the group and one day with just me. I also rode bikes. I did a five miler with an 8 year old... that was tough and slow. Finally today I did an 8 miler with an 11 year old. That was pretty good. How is your goal coming?
