In addition to our Veteran’s Day celebration we were surprised with a couple special musical stars. Our resident Anderson and Miss Roanoke Valley Teen, Mackenzie Lucas sang and played music together.

It was a heartwarming reminder of how music connects us across generations—lifting spirits, sparking memories, and creating pure joy. 💕

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day 🇺🇸
Today we gathered in gratitude to celebrate the brave men and women who served our country. We started with a special Veteran’s Day lunch for our Veterans. Followed by live music by Jim Korb, who played patriotic music and other favorites. After the music we gathered for a moving pinning ceremony🎖️ by Kim Roldan and her team from Gentiva Hospice, who honored each veteran’s service. A reception followed, giving us time to share stories and appreciation for those who sacrificed so much.

It was a day of unity, reflection, and joy—reminding us that freedom is never free, and our veterans deserve to be celebrated every day.

💙 Thank you to all who joined us in honoring these extraordinary individuals.

Today, Alisha, our Regional Director of Nursing and Executive Director, showed her appreciation for our amazing team by sharing her delicious homemade banana pudding! 🍌💛

Alisha is thankful every single day for each member of our community — from Maintenance, Nursing, Housekeeping, Dietary, Admissions, Business Office, and Reception, to our incredible PowerBack Therapy team.

✨Recently our residents received a beautiful gift of Pearl's Memory Babies. These lifelike dolls and dogs have been bringing so much comfort and joy to our residents. They have been seen at parties, outings, bingo, and other events and have become a wonderful part of daily life here at Cardinal. We are so thankful to Pearl’s Memory for this wonderful gift and hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do. 💕

We would love to add a bassinet in the activity room that would help the residents care for their babies.
