Congratulations to our Hermitage Hero for November, Shaquille Dickerson!

Shaq joined the Hermitage Roanoke in January 2024 as a Kitchen Assistant. He is always willing to pick up extra shifts and be flexible with his schedule to help out the team wherever he can! His fellow team members state he is always polite and easy to get along with. He is known for his diverse taste in music and is always playing his favorite tunes in the kitchen in between meals. He is a big Golden State basketball fan and in his free time he likes to play pool, workout and is a big gamer. Fun fact: His Mom, Keyco, also works here in our Housekeeping Department! We are so happy to have you on our team, Shaquille!

Veterans Voices : Hermitage Roanoke Honors Military Veterans

Hermitage Roanoke, a senior living community in Roanoke, Va., honored 12 veterans residents representing multiple branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. The celebration featured a performance by Second Chances Duo, the vocal group of Bob and Libbie Colia, along with refreshments and remarks from community members.

The veterans recognized were Richard Ratliff, Terry Shockley, Peter Mortlock, Don Helms, Bill Neal, Rick Cregger, Frank Ewald, Jack McGinn, Tom Rotenberry, Martin Shindler, John Boenke, and Stanley Butcher.
