A stair-climbing power wheelchair meets a wheelchair accessible truck conversion — yeah, that happened today. 👩🏻‍🦼‍➡️🛻 Mobius Mobility visited us today to demo the iBot PMD power wheelchair — and yes, it climbs stairs. 👀

Huge thank you to Pragya and her colleague for coming out to our facility. Our own Dan took them on a full factory tour and we even got the iBot loaded into one of our builds. ♿️

This is the kind of innovation we love seeing in the adaptive mobility space. 🤝

Today, Chauncey, Taylor, and Autumn represented ATC Mobility Visit Fort Wayne Accessibility Connect Session — a morning dedicated to helping our local hospitality industry better serve travelers with disabilities as summer approaches. ☀️♿

From panel discussions to nonprofit highlights to a resource fair, it was an encouraging reminder of why this work matters.

It’s one of the most frequently asked questions we receive: can you do a backseat or middle row conversion? 🙋🏻

The honest answer is no, and it comes down to structural safety. Modifications to the rear or middle of a vehicle require changes that can significantly compromise the frame. We focus exclusively on front door entry — driver side, passenger side, or both — so the factory build and all original safety features stay intact. 🔩 Every conversion also undergoes full-scale crash testing to ensure it meets rigorous safety standards. ✅

We know it’s not always the answer people are hoping for, but safety drives every decision we make.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ ❤️
