Discovery Shop - Roanoke, VA We help you save money, you help us save lives! All items are donated, and every item is carefully screened for quality by dedicated volunteers.

Shoppers will delight in the beautiful designer clothing, unusual and vintage jewelry, fine collectibles, shoes, bridal and prom gowns, furs, furniture, home accessories -- and even the occasional highly valuable antique. Many items are received with the original manufacturers’ tags still attached. There are many delightful treasures to “discover”, and every item sold helps to fund the important programs that the American Cancer Society has to offer. The Roanoke Discovery Shop has been recognized as one of the premier Discovery Shops in the nation, comparable to those in California, Georgia, Ohio, and elsewhere. It has also been awarded numerous area local “Best Of” awards including those for resale/consignment shops and the Best Place to Volunteer. If you’re looking for furniture , major appliances, outdoor items, and sporting equipment, check with our “sister” in Moneta, Virgnia. They also feature a gorgeous selection of new “market” samples from the High Point Furniture Market. In addition to our frequent store-wide sales at remarkable discounts, the Roanoke shop has a unique color coded tag system that provides the constantly changing inventory with ever-improving price points! Shop for your favorite items, buy them immediately or wait if you dare - the price will come down, but not if someone else grabs up the bargain before you! DONATIONS

We accept men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, bags – any season, any time we are open. We especially appreciate jewelry and current books. We also accept household goods such as china and glassware, decorative items such as art, mirrors pillows, rugs etc. We can take smaller pieces of furniture such as tables, chairs, bookshelves etc. We are open 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday and accept donations at all times at the back door (please come about an hour before closing). We are closed Sunday and Monday. We do not accept encyclopedias, old TVs (unless flat screen) computers (unless laptop) or exercise and medical equipment. The easiest way to donate is to come down the alley behind the shopping center and when the alley opens back up into a parking lot, come to the steps near the blue dumpster. Ring the bell next to the grey doors and we will come out and help you unload.
