Creative Therapy Care Our mission is to support people with disabilities of all ages through the use of animal assisted Occupational Therapy

Our mission is to support children and adults with special needs through the use of occupational, physical and speech therapies incorporating animals. We provide education for the public regarding therapeutic benefits and advantages of occupational therapy incorporating animals. In addition we raise funds to provide these therapies for persons with special needs, regardless of ability to pay.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our special team members, Munchkin.

Munchkin was more than just a llama he was a source of comfort, joy, and connection for so many individuals at Creative Therapy Care. He touched countless lives and created moments that will never be forgotten.

To our clients, families, and staff thank you for loving him as much as we did. 💛Munchkin will always be a part of our Creative Therapy Care family, and his impact will continue to live on in the smiles and memories he helped create.

💙 In Loving Memory of Brian 💙

Our Creative Therapy Care family is deeply saddened to share that one of our longtime clients, Brian Ulmer, has passed away.

Brian has attended occupational therapy incorporating animals since 1999. He reminded every therapy session why this approach matters because connection, love, and understanding transcends words.

Brian had an incredible way of communicating with the animals, and they loved him just as much as we all did. He especially liked Hank, the pot-bellied pig.

We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends, and we’re so grateful for all the beautiful memories we were lucky enough to share with him. 🕊️💛

🧼✨ We Need Your Help! ✨🧼

Creative Therapy Care is running low on some much needed cleaning supplies, and we would greatly appreciate community donations to help us keep our space fresh, safe, and welcoming for everyone (two-legged and four-legged friends included 🐾💛).

Here’s what we need most right now:
• Paper towels
• Disinfecting spray with bleach (like Clorox Clean-Up Multi-Surface Cleaner)
• Bathroom bleach foaming spray
• Laundry detergent pods
• Cloth rags and towels (used is perfect!)
• Toilet tissue

📦 Donation Info:
A large tote has been placed on the sidewalk at the gym for easy drop-offs. If no one is around, you’ll also see a note with Mona’s phone number on the tote and front door.

Creative Therapy Care had the honor of participating in the “Veterans Helping Veterans” event, hosted by Post 1264 at The Green Goat.

This incredible event brought together organizations and community partners to provide valuable resources, support, and appreciation to local veterans. We were grateful to connect with so many inspiring individuals and offer creative, therapeutic support as part of the day’s outreach.

Occupational Therapy Incorporating Animals

Creative Therapy Care is a non-profit organization that aims to treat children and adults with special needs through the use of occupational and speech therapies incorporating animals. We treat individuals of all ages with several diagnoses including, but not limited to, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy and behavioral disorders. Sessions at Creative Therapy Care seek to accomplish goals specific to each client, such as develop fine motor and gross motor skills, stimulate language and communication, and increase self-esteem. As mediators in therapy, animals can serve as reinforcers, socializing catalysts, aids to therapy, co-therapists, companions, and as agents of psychological support. Several animals can be found at Creative Therapy Care, such as dogs, ducks, llamas, rabbits and goats.
