Our word of the year at Solace Hospice is 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

For Haley, our Office Manager and Hospice Aide, presence means creating a calm and supportive space for every patient she cares for.

While she may arrive to assist with daily care, the most meaningful moments often come afterward. Sitting together, listening, holding a hand, or spending extra time doing something that brings the patient comfort or joy.

“When I am with a patient, they are the only thing that matters in that moment,” Haley says.

Hospice care allows our team to slow down, connect one-on-one, and provide an extra layer of support for patients as they walk their end-of-life journey. 💛 Fully present for you, 24/7.

🫖 Encourage warm fluids when appropriate
