Here
love is not something you search for

like a holy flame
soft
endless

The light touches everything differently now

every step feels guided

as if creation itself

Silence, Where I Find You
I come into the quiet now
not to be alone
but to be with You
There is a tenderness here
I cannot explain
like my soul softens
the moment I turn inward
and You are already there
Waiting
Not distant
not watching
but holding
In the silence
I feel Your love
not as something spoken
but as something wrapping around me
gentle
steady
unchanging
It moves through my chest
like warmth
like peace
like being known completely
and still loved
I do not need words here
You understand me
before I form a thought
You feel me
before I even realize what I’m carrying
And somehow
that love
it quiets everything
The fear fades
the questions fall away
the need to understand disappears

I Was Always Meant to Be Here
There were days
I did not understand
why I was still standing
Days my heart felt too tender
for this world
too open
too aware
I thought maybe I was too much
or not enough
depending on the moment
But something inside me
so quiet
so steady
never let me disappear
It kept breathing me forward
Even when I was tired
even when I forgot
And now I see
It was never about becoming someone
or proving anything
It was about softening
into what was already true
I am not here by accident
I am here
because love chose to live through me
Not loudly
not perfectly
but honestly
In the way I care
in the way I feel
in the way I sit beside someone’s pain
and do not turn away
This is enough
More than enough
I don’t need to reach for purpose anymore
It is here
in the smallest moments
In the quiet kindness
in the gentle healing
in the way my heart still opens
after everything
There is something sacred in that
Something real
And I feel it now
not as a thought
but as a warmth
A soft knowing
I am allowed to be here
just as I am
I am allowed to live gently
to love deeply
to exist without fear of being too much
Nothing about me was a mistake
Not the path
not the pain
not the tenderness I carry
It all brought me back
to this
A quiet peace

Today is Usui Mikao-sensei’s 100th meinichi (death anniversary) and the 99th anniversary of his students erecting this impressive stele at his family tomb at Saihōji, a Jōdo-shū (Pure Land sect) Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Near the end of this text of roughly 2,000 characters, it says:

"Recently, the world has been changing, and people’s ways of thinking have also greatly changed. Fortunately, if [Sensei's] wondrous method (reihō, i.e., Reiki Ryōhō) is propagated, it will greatly benefit public morality. It will do much more than just heal deep, chronic illnesses.

Some 2,000 people studied under Sensei. His senior students in Tokyo gather at the dojo to continue his work, and those in other regions also try to continue his teachings. Even though Sensei has passed away, the wondrous method should be forever propagated in the world. Ah, how great Sensei was to bestow upon others what he gleaned from within himself—nothing could be greater!"

Many thanks to Usui Mikao-sensei for dedicating his life to creating a healthier, happier, more peaceful and righteous world. I think he and his disciples would be so pleased to know that 100 years later, the methods of Usui Reiki Therapy have brought healing and spiritual inspiration to millions around the world 🙏
