Social Work Month closes today, and we spent part of it the right way: with our team.

Yesterday's appreciation lunch was a chance to recognize the social workers at Good Sam who do work that most people never see. Difficult conversations made easier. Families who did not know where to turn are supported. Patients whose needs extend far beyond the clinical are fully seen and addressed.

Today we celebrate the heart, skill, and dedication of our nursing team on Certified Nurses Day.

At Good Sam, we’re especially proud to have so many team members who have earned their CHPN® (Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse) certification. That credential represents more than advanced knowledge; it reflects a deep commitment to providing compassionate, expert care to patients and families during some of life’s most meaningful moments.

Your work requires not just clinical excellence, but empathy, presence, and strength. You show up every day ready to support, comfort, and guide others, and that does not go unnoticed.

Not all impact is loud. Some of the most meaningful work happens quietly, day after day, and that’s exactly how Kathy Moses leads.

We’re proud to name Kathy our Path Leader of the Month for March 2026.

A social worker for more than 30 years, Kathy has shown what it means to truly be present. She listens deeply, supports patients and families through the hardest moments, and brings a steady, calming presence to her team. Her compassion, humility, and willingness to step in wherever needed make a lasting difference.

Kathy not only cares for others but also lifts everyone around her.

Grief can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone.

Good Samaritan’s Growing Together Through Grief workshop offers a supportive space for adults who have experienced the loss of a loved one and are looking for understanding, connection, and guidance through the grieving process.

Led by our hospice bereavement team, this six-week group combines helpful information, open discussion, and optional activities so participants can engage at whatever level feels right for them.

Dates: March 12, 19, 26 & April 9, 16, 23
Times: 10–11:30 AM or 5:30–7 PM
