Fall is in the air, and we have some big developments in the works!!

Beginning January 1, 2026, Mainstream Mental Health Services will be expanding our Substance Abuse Program! To include expansion of our existing SA-IOP 2.1 and SA-PHP 2.5, and SA Case Management. This will also include one on one individual therapy focused on recovery with Evidence Based Practices, but also, skills restoration, to work towards stability and independence in the community.

We are so excited for this opportunity to continue growing this program, provide therapeutic, person-centered intervention, while fostering recovery in an environment that offers dynamic opportunities to thrive.

Several of our staff took part in the Halloween festivities today!

In addition to the fun our staff had dressing up today, our Substance Abuse team worked closely with our IOP groups this week, to hold a group party yesterday, highlighting the many successes that have occurred. There was fellowship, person-centered focus on recovery, and togetherness.

Everyone have a wonderful and safe, Halloween Weekend!!

Our Operations and Marketing Manager, Brooke Keen, alongside Kaisha Williams, Regional Mental Health Manager, spent the past two days in Richmond learning about the upcoming Virginia Behavioral Health Redesign, DBHDS and DMAS regulatory updates, while collaborating with statewide private providers.

Good morning and Happy Friday!! Say hello to two of our new staff here at Mainstream Mental Health Services

Kiota serves as our Downtown Roanoke, Primary Administrative Support Specialist. She comes from an extensive background working with the substance abuse population. We are thankful for Kiota and her warm, welcoming, person-centered approach. She has brought so much warmth and personality to our main office. We are so excited to have you!!

Last but certainly not least, meet Alex! Alex serves as an Outpatient Counselor working with both adults and children and works within our Substance Abuse Program. Alex has already established herself as a go-getter and team player. We are thankful for her knowledge, experience, and overall team approach. Alex serves as a Head tennis coach at a local high school and is a fellow cat lady!
