Annex Teen Clinic provides s*xuality-related health care services in a friendly and comfortable setting. We also facilitate fact-based education for young people, parents, professionals and community members. The Annex Teen Clinic has been serving the community of Northwest Hennepin County and North Minneapolis since 1971.

At the Annex Extravaganza on April 28th, you can meet with friends and colleagues, view the silent auction, enjoy great food and drinks from Baba's Catering by Mediterranean Cruise Cafe, and check out the entertainment.

Then, enjoy a live program and hear from the one and only emcee Miss Shannan Paul well as Annex Staff and Board as they showcase the impact the Annex has in the lives of young people. Enjoy playing Heads or Tails, bid in the Live Auction, and show your support during the Fund-a-Need.

The Annex will be closed on Monday, January 19th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We plan to spend this time with our loved ones and in the community and we hope that you can do the same. We will resume regular clinic hours on Tuesday, January 20th.

Human Rights Day is observed annually around the world on December 10th. It commemorates the anniversary of one of the world's most groundbreaking global pledges: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This landmark document enshrines the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, color, religion, s*x, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

This year, the United Nations theme for this holiday is that Human Rights are positive, essential, and attainable.

Human rights are POSITIVE
They not only protect, they also bring joy, happiness and safety into daily life. Human rights are lived realities. They are in the food we eat, the air we breathe, the words we speak, the opportunities we pursue or the protections that keep us safe.

Human rights are ESSENTIAL
They are the essentials we all share, the common ground that unites us across differences of race, gender, belief, or background. In a world of uncertainty, human rights remain our everyday constants. When everything feels unstable, your right to safety, to speak freely and to participate in decisions that affect us, become the bedrock of our lives.

Human rights are ATTAINABLE
They begin with us, with the small, everyday choices we make from treating others with respect, speaking up against unfairness, and listening to those whose voices are often ignored. Everyday choices and voices matter more than you may realize; they build a culture of dignity and fairness around us. But human rights also depend on collective action, when communities, movements, and nations come together to demand justice and equality.

World AIDS Day is a global movement to unite people in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Since 1988, communities have stood together on World AIDS Day to show strength and solidarity against HIV stigma and to remember lives lost.

Medical advances mean people with HIV can expect a long and healthy life and that we have the tools to stop HIV transmissions for good. But HIV continues to be highly stigmatized and misunderstood.
