Since it began in 2000, the Institute of Interdisciplinary Yoga Studies (IIYS) has evolved to offer one of the most comprehensive teacher training courses available, graduating and certifying over 1000 teachers.The IIYS 200-Hour in two formats, a two-week immersion and a local Kansas City weekend module format, the 300-Hour Advanced weekend module format, and the 500-Hour Advanced weekend module format certifications are fully recognized and accredited by the Yoga Alliance. Whether you are just starting out on your path to become a yoga teacher, seeking to enhance your skills or simply desire to develop your personal practice, our teacher training intensives and immersions will provide you with the tools to enrich your life, practice and to develop your own authentic teaching style grounded in both self-awareness and experiential knowledge. You can choose an immersion experience on the 200-hour level, or you can complete your training over the course of several modules with the emphasis of your choice. If you are seeking the advanced certificate and currently hold your 200-hour, you can finish the Advanced 300-Hour in separate modules designated for advanced training. The 500-hour is a complete program and includes the advanced retreat seminar.
