When we set out to add a neurology service line to our Consulting Clinic, we knew the provider we were looking for had to be top notch. Let me introduce Dr. Patrick Mercho, who's now seeing adult neurology patients in our Consulting Clinic!

A neurologist specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. They treat conditions like stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s. Dr. Mercho also does EMGs.

Referrals are necessary, but you can have your primary care provider reach out to his office by calling (618) 546-2591.

**Dr. Mercho is an independent provider who is not employed by CMH.

It is time to begin the athletic physical process for the 2026-2027 sports seasons. Each athlete MUST be pre-screened by the CMH Athletic Training Staff prior to having an athletic physical. The prescreening is a chance for our Athletic Training Staff to review your student athlete’s health history and determine if that athlete receives his/her physical at our physical clinic. Completed appointment selection and health history portion of the physical will need to be turned in to CMH Outpatient Therapy or your school’s Athletic Trainer no later than May 28, 2026. Once received, CMH Athletic Training staff will review the athlete’s health history and call to notify athletes of scheduled appointment closest to your requested time.

We have a fantastic Temporary Resource Pool opportunity available in our Consulting Clinic! We have opened up a spot for a registered nurse to join the team in our specialty clinic for a 13-week commitment. You'd work from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 5 days a week for 13 weeks.

Temporary Resource nurses enjoy a very competitive salary and earn a bonus at the end of the 13 weeks.

The Consulting RN is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the Consulting department, which consists of various specialties that can include: Neuro, ENT, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Cardiac, or Urology. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectations with minimal supervision.
