I feel like women are often told that's it's normal to get up several times at night to go to the bathroom and that having to plan road trips or shopping trips around the location of the nearest bathroom is "ok" and just "something we have to deal with after having kids." I'm here to tell you it's not normal and there are things you can do. Let me introduce you to Cassi Fiscus, our urology nurse practitioner. We are offering our next round of free cancer screenings and education Thursday, March 12, from 7-9 a.m. in our Crawford Room. We'll offer education and screenings about breast cancer, colorectal cancer, head and neck cancers, prostate cancer, and more! We'll also be offering low dose lung CTs to detect lung cancer for $50 cash (cash/check only). The CTs will be available to medically eligible patients. No reservations are necessary and you can stop by any time during that 2 hour time frame. See you all then!

Not long ago, someone told us they didn't know we delivered babies at CMH. We were shocked! Not only do we deliver babies, and have been since we opened in 1961, we are one of only 4 critical access hospitals in Illinois that still has an Obstetrics service line. About 175 babies are born here at CMH every year. What a privilege it has been to help women become mothers for generations.
