The Farm of Hope of Corpus Christi

November 12th and 13th

We attended Mass at 7:30 am with the SOLT sisters. Then after breakfast and feeding the animals, we went to Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi. Then we went to Mother Teresa Shelter. Afterwards, we returned to the Farm of Hope for meetings on zoom and dinner.

Today all our brothers and sisters from La Fazenda de Esperanza leave today to Equador.

November 11th, we celebrated Mass with our neighbors the SOLT sisters at 7:30 am. Then we fed the animals at the Farm of Hope. Then we traveled for 1 1/2 hours to Hebbronville, Texas to visit Mario Ramos who was the first person to complete the Farm of Hope in Corpus Christi. Mario and his friend Servanndo and his wife gave us a tour of two museums in Hebbronville. One museum was the Franciscan Museum of Hebbronville with many artifacts almost 100 years old. The other museum was the Jim Hogg County Old Jail Museum that was a small and very old jail. We traveled back to Corpus Christi, Texas where we had a Zoom meeting with Bishop Michel Mulvey to talk about the experience of the visit to the Farm of Hope in Corpus Christi.

It was a great day today.

Feed the animals at the Farm of Hope in the morning.

Went to Holy Family Church in Corpus Christi at 12:30 pm.

Ate lunch at the Farm of Hope.

Visited high school youth at Holy Family Church to share about the Farm of Hope.

Visited the Focalare Movement for men.

Had dinner at the Focalare Movement for women.

We have received visitors at the Farm of Hope Corpus Christi. Fr. Hans, Nelson, Lucilene, Iraci, Lety and Sarah will be meeting people and sharing testimonials of the charism of La Fazenda de Esperanza.

Today, Mario Ramos left the Farm of Hope to continue to lead others to Christ and fight their addiction at his hometown Hebbronville, Texas. By sharing his testimony and his love for God, he hopes to do more outside the farm. We wish Mario well and expect great things from him.
