It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our friend and colleague, David “Dave” Samp, who passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025.
Dave was a pharmacist for an extraordinary 66 years, and we were honored to have him as part of our pharmacy family. Even in recent years, he continued to serve our community as a fill-in pharmacist, bringing his steady kindness, quick wit, and the warmth that everyone knew him for.
Dave cherished the people in his life above all else. Some of his greatest joys were found around the poker table during his weekly Tuesday night games and at his Friday lunches with close friends—traditions he rarely missed and always looked forward to. His love for his family was limitless, and he especially treasured being present for his grandchildren’s activities.
Our team sends our deepest condolences to his beloved wife, Mary, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know him.
There will be no services at this time; a celebration of life is planned for a later date. Memorials may be made to the Rochelle VFW, Post 3878.
Dave will always remain part of our pharmacy family, and we are grateful for his many years of service, compassion, and friendship.
May he rest in peace.
