Hi all, Ashley here -

More changes abound in the midwifery group… and still more to come! I wanted to let you all know that next Friday 5/30 will be my last day with OAMA.

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our patients who entrusted me with their care, and continue to seek out midwifery care - we love you for that. We couldn’t practice without you!

Can’t wait to watch from afar to see all the amazing things this talented group of ladies continues to do. Xoxo ❤️

If you know our group at ALL, you know how much of a rarity it is to get us all together for one picture.

Tonight we made it happen, in honor of our matriarch LouAnne. After 30+ years, and building this midwifery practice into the group we are today, she is retiring at the end of next week.

Lou, you have touched so many lives. Those of your patients, the babies you’ve caught, and definitely all of us. You are a force, and you have always pushed for things to be the best. We’ve learned not to accept any less. We will be sad to see you go, and your absence will leave a giant hole at Oakland Macomb, but we’re so happy you will get time with the family you made.

Cheers to you, Lou - we love you! 🥰

Warm welcome to the newest member of the Oakland Macomb midwife family!

Introducing miss Lydia Jayne Hazely
Born (in a very timely manner!) on her due date, 7/20/23
Measuring 7lb 7oz and 19in long

Both mama Laura and baby Lydia are both doing well!
Congrats to the whole Hazely family, including dad Byron, and proud big brothers Trey and Ben!

Today we had the privilege of sprinkling our own Laura Hazely in anticipation of her third baby (and first sweet girl!)! We can’t wait to meet you, baby Lydia! ❤️🥰❤️

Welcome back to one of our favorite midwives, Dana (previously Velzy but she went and got hitched 💍) O’Connor!

Dana is starting back up with us this week and will be seeing patients really soon!

❗️Alert: If you are pregnant, please make sure that if you’re eating any deli meats or cheeses, that you are heating them to 165° or greater to avoid contracting Listeria.

LISTERIA OUTBREAK: Share this outbreak information with your friends and family who are pregnant, aged 65 or older, or have a weakened immune system.

Listeria can cause severe illnesses that result in hospitalization and sometimes death. It can also cause pregnancy loss or premature birth.

Investigators are working to identify any specific deli products or delis that may be contaminated.
