In HypnoBirthing, we trust the natural flow of birth — and that trust continues after baby arrives.

When parents hold their newborn close, rubbing their back and speaking softly, they’re instinctively helping baby transition from womb to world. This sacred time — the golden hour — is nature’s design for bonding, regulation, and love.

As birth workers, we can protect this moment by encouraging patience and connection over procedures and rush.

Birth, transition, and those first breaths all unfold best with time, calm, and trust.

What are you doing for YOU today?!

Once a week I go to ballet class and get my butt kicked doing something just for ME. I can’t think about anything else, not parenting, not my never-ending to-do list, not anything but my movement and my body. It’s one of the best parts of my week and an absolute reset to my nervous system, no matter what else is going on.

What are you doing for yourself? Maybe your baby is brand new and simply getting the chance to shower or go outside and touch grass and look at nature (by yourself!) helps you gain a sense of “self” back. Or maybe baby is a little older and you’ve started going to new parent support groups or walking with your new mom friends!

Regardless of where you are in your parenting journey, find a few minutes for yourself. Reset, recharge, and remember that you have needs that need to be met in order to be your best for baby. ❤️

It’s time to book your doula!

If you’ve been thinking about hiring a doula, the first step is to meet with doulas in your area to find the one who best meets your needs. Someone…

✨you mesh with
✨who is knowledgeable
✨who actively listens to your concerns

Talk to more than one doula, too! You are hiring someone to be with you in the most intimate of experiences. Finding the right fit will increase your satisfaction with your experience.

A new analysis shows that moving to music with others can be a powerful way to ease symptoms of depression. Unlike walking or yoga, dance engages the brain in a unique “neurochemical symphony,” blending physical activity with joy, connection, and self-expression. Here's why it helps and how to harness it, according to experts: https://on.natgeo.com/47WKONQ

Correlation ≠ Causation

ACOG reaffirms the safety and benefits of acetaminophen use during pregnancy.
More than two decades of research have found no causal link between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability in children. Acetaminophen continues to be an important and safe option for managing pain and fever in pregnancy—conditions that can pose serious risks to pregnant patients and their fetuses if left untreated.
