Just a quick reminder that our H&V NY Holiday event is this coming Sunday 12/7 from 10:00AM-12:00PM! We hope to see you there!

Please join us on Sunday, December 7th from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Nazareth University located at 4245 East Ave, Rochester 14618 in the York Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute. This is a great chance for families and kids to connect and some holiday fun! This event is for families with children who are deaf/hard of hearing as well as professionals that work with deaf/hard of hearing kids.

Families must register for this free event sponsored by NY EHDI and Hands and Voices of NY. Space is limited and we want to ensure that as many children who are deaf/hard of hearing can attend. Please be mindful of this when registering your child/family.

Please join us for our next FREE H&V NY event on Sunday, October 19th, at 10:00am at Chase Farms located at 459 Pannell Rd, Fairport, 14450. This is a great chance for kids and families to have some fall fun and connect! This event is for families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing ages birth through fourth grade as well as community providers. Come explore Chase Farms, pick a pumpkin, and run through the corn maze! Resources will be shared and snacks will be provided!

Hear Together is back this month, with a new meeting day (third Wednesday of each month from 8-9 pm). If you are the parent or caregiver of a deaf/hard of hearing child, please join Carly Alicea and I each month for an hour of support and community with other parents who "get it"! If you're not already on our list, email me (kristin@canalsidespeech.com) to receive the Zoom link each month.

If you have a two-year-old who's working on growing their vocabulary or a toddler who you'd like to introduce to a small group activity, check out our Let's Talk group this fall! We offer different activities and a theme each week, tips and developmental guidance by our experienced speech pathologists, and a predictable routine to help your little ones adjust! This parent and toddler class series is a great way to get out, have fun, and learn all at the same time!

We're so excited to add an expectant parents class series to our fall session this year! We've gathered a few more of our favorite people and chose topics we feel will really help new parents feel prepared AND confident in their first few months at home with baby.
