This is a step in a positive direction for Sangamon County. The referendum will allow the public to vote whether .50 cents out of $100 spent will go to local mental health services.

If you spend $100 on items excluding groceries, you would pay an extra 50 cents, if the referendum is approved.

There can be a lot of noise in our heads. The constant stream of information online, work, family, to-do lists, the holidays, shame about the past, anxiety about the future, etc. Take a moment to be present. Breathe slowly. Turn everything off. Or if you feel like it, plug in and turn up your favorite tunes. You’re not alone. We are in this together.
