I wanted to share a little update: I’m no longer taking on new doula clients. Being a birth doula has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I’ve met so many beautiful families, witnessed so many powerful moments, and I’ll always be grateful for the experiences and connections it has brought me.

Even though I’m not planning to attend births beyond spring of 2026, I’m still here to support growing families in other ways through…

massage, prenatal and postnatal bodywork, and holding space for moms in this tender season.

Bringing this oldie but a goodie back around!

💐 This is a representation of cervical dilation during labor from 0-10cm.

💐 Visualizing this guide can help encourage the body to open naturally!

🌸Stages of Labor:

1️⃣ Early Labor: 0-3cm, lasting approximately 8-12 hours
🪷during this stage try to rest and engage in all the comforts
🪷eat and stay hydrated!
🪷distractions such as movies, walking, Miles Circuit, rolling hips on birthing ball, etc.

2️⃣ Active Labor: 4-6cm, lasting approximately 3-5 hours
🪷call your birthing team in or head to the hospital
🪷utilize breathing techniques, counter pressure and position changes
🪷continue to stay hydrated but be sure to empty bladder frequently which alleviates pressure

3️⃣ Transition Phase: 7-10cm, lasting approximately 2 hours
🪷this is the hardest phase BUT the shortest
🪷continue with comfort measures and hydration as in active phase
🪷communicate the urge to push to your care team
