Strained a muscle? Most sure you do this.

❌ Don’t stretch it — a strain is torn muscle fibers. Stretching pulls on damaged tissue and can make it worse. Let it settle first.

❌ Don’t ice it — inflammation isn’t the enemy. It’s your body’s natural repair process. Icing shuts that down right when you need it most. Try heat instead.

✅ Get treatment on it early — research consistently shows that the single biggest predictor of future injury is previous injury. Taking a muscle pull seriously speeds recovery but also helps ensure it doesn’t happen again.

The tough it out and see what happens approach is how small injuries become recurring problems.
