📣 Announcing Adaptive Athletics at AutFest Rochester! 📣
Get ready, Rochester! We are so excited to announce that Adaptive Athletics will be a part of AutFest on Saturday, September 28th! We can't wait to connect with families and individuals in our community and share more about what we do.
What is AutFest?
AutFest is a free, sensory friendly family fun day and art festival dedicated to creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone in the community. It's a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the arts and discover their therapeutic benefits in a safe and supportive space.
What is Adaptive Athletics?
Adaptive Athletics provides a unique, one-on-one functional mobility and movement class for individuals with a wide range of diverse physical and intellectual needs. Led by Dr. Taylor Peterson, each 45-minute class is designed to be fun and challenging, using games and activities to improve fine and gross motor skills. We focus on building strength and movement patterns for everyday activities, while also helping individuals develop social and behavioral skills, self-confidence, and a sense of accomplishment.
We will also be available to answer any questions about our transition services for kids, teens, and young adults, which are designed to help them navigate life's big changes.
We look forward to meeting you all, answering your questions, and getting to know more of the incredible families and individuals that make up this community. See you there!
