I’m Kerry — the owner, maker, and heart behind Goat Isle Soap. What began as a small creative outlet has grown into the work that fills my days with purpose, joy, and connection. In 2023, I retired from my longtime career to run this business full time, and it’s been one of the most meaningful decisions I’ve ever made. Now, every batch, every bar, every label is crafted by my hands, with intention and care.
I’m a certified soapmaker through the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild, and I create everything from scratch — raw goat milk soaps, vegan bars, lotions, scrubs, balms, and seasonal specialties. I work with local farms and botanicals, blending artistry with science to create products that feel gentle, grounding, and honest.
But there’s more to me than the studio.
When I’m not formulating or pouring soap, you’ll usually find me outdoors — hiking through quiet trails, kayaking on calm water, or out on a boat soaking in the sunshine. Nature is where I reset, gather inspiration, and reconnect with the slower rhythms that shape my work.
I also love to travel, explore new places, and collect memories along the way. And if you know me well, you know I have a soft spot for Syracuse China — each piece feels like a tiny piece of history, craftsmanship, and nostalgia that I love bringing into my home.
And when I’m with my family, you’ll often find us at concerts, wandering through arcades, browsing independent bookstores, or thrifting for hidden gems. Those moments — full of laughter, music, and discovery — fuel my creativity just as much as the quiet hours in my studio.
Goat Isle Soap is more than a business to me. It’s a reflection of the things I value: intention, community, creativity, and the beauty of everyday rituals. Thank you for supporting handmade, for choosing small-batch, and for letting my craft become part of your daily life. It means more than you know.
