Hello Everyone!
I am reminded that today is a happy and fun day for a lot of folks, but not for everyone. As you know, there are expectations placed on this holiday, and they are out of reach for some. I’m thinking about the clients I’ve seen over this past couple of months, who are struggling in this season that is “supposed” to be filled with peace, love, joy, and family. Recently, I have been encouraged to write more personal stories and thoughts and beliefs. In other words, to become more vulnerable with my readers. Well, here goes… Most of the memes I share are things I need to hear myself. This particular meme is one of them. Although I had the joy of seeing my son and grandson last night, for Xmas Eve, I am, for the first time in all my seventy years, alone on Xmas day. As you can imagine, I’ve had a myriad of feelings about it. So, thinking about myself and others who are alone, and those who are struggling today for a variety of reasons, I am posting this meme. To all of us: WE’VE GOT THIS!

What are the 12 Days of Christmas? And when does the 12 Days of Christmas start? The festival season, which begins on Christmas Day (December 25), ends on the evening of January 5 (called Twelfth Night); this marks the end of Christmas festivities and, in ancient Celtic tradition, the end of the 12-day winter solstice celebration.

The 12 days were all about hospitality and merriment after a long year of hard work and harvesting. Most people didn’t work throughout the Twelve Days of Christmas festivities.
