We’re proud to celebrate Rochester’s own Natalie Victoria, who has been named Hospitality Minnesota’s Restaurateur of the Year at the Stars of the Industry Awards.

For decades, Natalie has helped shape a vibrant, welcoming downtown Rochester, creating places where residents and visitors gather, celebrate, and connect. From the longtime success of Victoria’s Ristorante & Wine Bar to The Tap House and The Social at the Avalon, her establishments have played a meaningful role in activating downtown and strengthening Rochester’s hospitality scene.

This recognition reflects not only Natalie’s leadership and resilience, but also her belief that restaurants are a team effort—one powered by talented people and a deep commitment to community.

Congratulations on this well-deserved honor. Downtown Rochester is stronger and more dynamic because of leaders like you.

This week, the City of Rochester and DMC mark a major milestone in the DBET initiative with the launch of Minnesota’s first thermal energy network.

This innovative system connects Mayo Civic Center, Rochester Art Center, Rochester Civic Theatre and Rochester Public Library. Together, these buildings can now share energy, transferring heat where it’s needed most and enabling simultaneous heating and cooling — all powered by 100% renewable geothermal energy.

💰 Projected to save the City $900k annually in energy costs
🌎 Designed for future expansion to private buildings
⚡ Built to support Rochester’s goal of 100% renewable electricity by 2030
📉 Projected 60% reduction in energy usage

A new historical exhibit, curated by Lucy Kruesel to mark the 98th anniversary of the opening of the Chateau Dodge Theatre. The exhibit features artifacts and memorabilia from nearly a century of performances, films, and memories!

Event Cancellation: “The 6th Street Sessions” – Final Session (Walking Tour)

Due to predicted weather not suitable for a walking tour, the City of Rochester is canceling the Interactive Project Site Tour scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. The tour will be rescheduled for spring 2026.

DMC is proud to partner with Cradle 2 Career for its 2025 Annual Education Summit. DMC team members will be presenting a session entitled "Education and Health at the Center of Rochester’s Future".

We are grateful to our Premier Partner, DMC - Destination Medical Center, for sponsoring the upcoming 2025 Annual Education Summit.

With DMC's support, we are hosting our largest summit to date, welcoming over 300 attendees this Wednesday, and working together to improve education outcomes for all youth and young adults in Rochester.
