Birch Healthcare hosted a Trivia & Pizza event this Tuesday at the Rochester Senior Center, and it was a fantastic time! 🎉🍕

A big thank you to our Admissions Coordinator, Tiana Dimeo, for organizing such a fun and engaging event. We loved connecting with so many members of the local community and can’t wait to do it again.

Join us as we continue the fun with monthly events at the senior center—we hope to see you there!

Success Story: Jill 💜

Jill, 66, began her rehabilitation journey after being admitted with lumbar radiculopathy and hip pain. When she first started therapy, she needed significant assistance with daily tasks, mobility, and personal care.

With determination, consistency, and a positive attitude, Jill made incredible progress. By the time she was discharged, she had regained independence with personal hygiene, required only minimal set-up for dressing and toileting, and progressed from needing hands-on assistance with mobility and transfers to walking independently in her room and up to 40 feet with a rolling walker under supervision.

Jill’s motivation never wavered, and she was overjoyed to safely return home to her apartment. We are so proud of the hard work she put in to reach her goals!

Elaine’s journey has been truly inspiring! 💙

After being hospitalized due to hypertension and frequent falls, Elaine joined our Birch community and began therapy services. When she started, she required assistance and supervision with many daily activities, mobility, and short-distance walking.

Through her dedication and active participation in occupational, physical, and speech therapy, Elaine made remarkable progress. She advanced to greater independence with dressing, toileting, bed mobility, and transfers, and can now walk independently in her room and up to 150 feet with supervision. She also showed meaningful cognitive improvement along the way.

We are so proud of Elaine’s hard work and determination — she continues to be a valued and active member of our Birch community!
