Eating Disorder Awareness Week is an opportunity to recognize that a child’s relationship with food and body image begins forming earlier than many parents realize. Understanding what to look for, and what to model at home, can make a meaningful difference in a child’s long-term health and well-being.

A pediatrician and eating disorder specialist at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Angela Mattke, explains the early warning signs, practical ways to support healthy habits, and where to turn if you’re worried about your child.

Awareness is prevention. 💙 Looking for more information? Talk to your child’s pediatrician and visit the links below.

While celebrating National Children's Dental Health Month, we were all smiles for our healthy hero! 😁
It was so much fun welcoming Dr. Elise Sarvas to read "I’m a Dentist"—a Healthy Heroes children’s book she collaborated on. Dr. Sarvas showed us how to brush teeth using her fantastic models, introduced dental tools, and answered great questions about dental offices and keeping smiles healthy.

💬 Fun question: Dr. Sarvas’ toothy dragon doesn’t have a name… what do you think she should name them?

5 Things You Should Know About Epilepsy:

🔹 1 in 26 people will develop Epilepsy in their lifetime.

🔹 Epilepsy is a brainwave‑based condition diagnosed through MRI and EEG to identify seizure types and underlying causes.

🔹 Most seizures are short, but seizures lasting over 5 minutes or multiple seizures in an hour require urgent action and may need a seizure action plan.

🔹 Epilepsy surgery may be an option for the one‑third of patients whose seizures continue despite treatment, especially when doctors can identify a specific seizure focus or when certain generalized epilepsies benefit from disconnection procedures.

If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with epilepsy, you may be asking yourself a lot of questions. Our experts are here to help answer them. For mor...
