How to Become an Instrument of Peace...
Many are still feeling rattled by the cruelty and chaos unfolding in our Nation. And with the winter storm keeping so many of us sheltered in place, the nervous system can feel overloaded. When chaos moves through the body, it’s easy to feel helpless or overwhelmed.
Winter is placing us in a Pause.
Use it to regulate your system.
Choose simple, steady actions that restore order inside you:
- Run a warm bath
- Dim the lights and sit in candlelight
- Organize a drawer or small space
- Cook something comforting
These are repair practices.
If you practice meditation or prayer, use it to slow your breath and bring your system back into center.
Your nervous system needs steadiness before you can discern how to move forward as an instrument of peace.
