💙 Parents and caregivers deserve the option to use their Medicaid coverage or commercial health insurance plans to pay for the psychotherapy that is best for their kids! 🙌👏

💙 LCATs integrate drama, art, dance, and music to provide an accessible form of psychotherapy - well suited to the unique needs of teens and children who don’t respond well to talk therapy 🙌👏

Congratulations to our intake coordinator, Jillian, on the birth of her daughter, Miss Eloise! Jillian will be returning from maternity leave in a few weeks and we wanted to share and celebrate the good news of this beautiful little addition to her family! 🐣💕

We’ve come a long way in 2 years! This was a video from DAY ONE when we got out keys in April of 2024! It’s been a fun journey to renovate and create a creative and calming therapy space. For those of you who have been inside recently, it looks so different from where we started, even for us! Being settled in our home in the NOTA neighborhood feels like exactly where we will stay for good. We have plans this summer for expanding our sensory garden outside, and offering some Art Workshops on the Porch series! Check out our website for upcoming happenings in addition to offering affordable, insurance based therapy.

Today, my office joined Licensed Creative Art Therapists, allies, and AM Bronson to advocate for funding LCATs and expanding mental health access. My bills S1001 and S6025 would expand insurance coverage for outpatient care provided by LCATs and allow them to bill Medicaid directly, helping more New Yorkers access the care they need.
