As 2025 comes to an end, we’re reflecting on the strength of the families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House and the community that lifts them up.

When a child is in the hospital, family stays. And at the Ronald McDonald House, we make sure that’s possible.

Here in Rochester, we see this same magic every day. Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House® are often far from home during the holidays, but moments of comfort, care, and joy still find them.

No matter where a family is in the world, the need for warmth, love, and reassurance is the same. Today, we’re holding all families in our hearts, especially those spending the holidays close to their child’s care.

We are deeply grateful to everyone involved in the 2025 Big Ortho Giveback for coming together with such heart, authenticity, and generosity in support of Ronald McDonald House® families.

This incredible effort supported our Snowflake Room, helped fulfill items from our Amazon, Walmart, and Target registries, collected 130 pounds of pop tabs, provided new workstations to meet important needs here at the House, and included a meal served by the dedicated Advanced Practice Providers. It was a true example of gratitude in action and what it looks like to “pay it forward” together.

Nearly 1,000 individuals contributed their time, energy, and care over the course of the year, creating moments of comfort, connection, and joy for families during some of their hardest days.

Thank you for choosing to stand alongside our families in such a meaningful way. Your collective kindness truly makes a difference. 💛✨

Every year, Madaline travels from Alexandria, MN to support families staying at the Ronald McDonald House®. 💛

Through her fundraising, she purchases much-needed items for our House, making a meaningful difference for families far from home. We are so thankful for her continued generosity!

Beamish stopped by the House dressed as a Christmas tree and brought so many smiles with him. We’re so grateful for visits like these that bring comfort and joy to our families. 🎄

A huge thank you to the faculty, staff, and students of Resurrection Lutheran School for collecting Wish List items during their Give Thanks Week and delivering them to the Ronald McDonald House®! 💛

They didn’t just bring donations, they spent the evening making ornaments, decorating cookies with our families, and learning more about our mission and the impact of their kindness.

We are so grateful for this meaningful partnership and for the joy you brought to the House.

This weekend, our Board Chair, Ashton Boon, stopped by the Ronald McDonald House® with her son, Murph, and his generosity meant the world to our families.

Murph made a thoughtful decision this Christmas. Instead of a tree at home filled with gifts, he chose to share his presents with the kids staying here, bringing smiles and comfort to families spending the holidays far from home.

A simple reminder that kindness is the greatest gift of all.
