Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming the Global President and CEO of Ronald McDonald House, Katie Fitzgerald, to our local chapter here in Rochester.

Her visit was an opportunity to listen, learn, and share how our community shows up for families in ways that are both deeply local and thoughtfully connected to a global network of care. Moments like this reaffirm the importance of our work here and the role Rochester plays within the broader Ronald McDonald House movement.

This week, we’re in need of a few everyday essentials that help keep our House running smoothly for families:
• Baby wipes
• Toilet bowl cleaner
• Plastic disposable forks

If you’re heading to the store or placing an online order, adding one of these items is a simple way to make a meaningful difference. Thank you for helping care for families in these small but important ways.

For one night, we traded winter coats for beach vibes at the House — thanks to our friends at BAMCO McDonald's. 🏖️☀️

With temperatures well below freezing outside, BAMCO helped families forget about the cold and snow for a while, bringing the sunshine in with leis, a parachute beach ball party, sack races, and surprise visits from Grimace and Hamburglar.

After 3 nights, Nadia is heading home. 💛

Since 2017, her family has stayed at the Ronald McDonald House when needed, returning time and time again for short stays that make a big difference. Over the years, those visits have added up to 21 stays, each one offering a familiar place to rest, regroup, and stay close.

We’re grateful to be a place this family can count on, whether it’s for a few nights or many years.

We’re seeking a Development Officer to help advance fundraising strategies and steward the partnerships that support families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

This role works closely with the Development Director to support planned giving, strengthen donor relationships, and serve as the primary point of contact for local McDonald’s Owner/Operators—including Round-Up for RMH and other fundraising initiatives.

Your remarkable efforts have earned you a well-deserved treat from PTO and the honor of displaying the trophy. Our school collected 100 lbs. of pop tabs to be given to the Ronald McDonald House Southeastern MN & Western WI Thanks to the students, families and staff for collecting. Every pop tab goes to helping families while they are at the Ronald McDonald House. ❤
